Do Oil and Light Really Mix? Find out

Do you feel the benefits of the traditional practices are enhanced by modern technology? If anyone has any thoughts on this matter, please LET ME KNOW!!  Here is one scenario:  Will the benefits received from doing a castor oil pack be enhanced by using LED Light Therapy over the pack?  Here is the how, why and what:

Castor oil, which is derived from the bean of the Palma Christi plant, has been used for centuries in the folk medicine of ancient India, China, Persia, Africa, Greece, Rome and the Americas.  As an external oil pack, it has been used to treat a variety of health conditions such as arthritis, liver and intestinal disorders, tumors, cysts and skin conditions.

Some of the numerous uses of castor oil include the treatment of breast cysts, fibroids, ovarian cysts, congestion of abdominal organs, skin conditions, small benign cysts and adhesions from surgery. You can buy castor oil almost anywhere.  If you read about how to make a castor oil pack, generally you will read that it must be heated in a pot then soaked with wool flannel, placed on the body then covered with plastic.  Yikes. That's a lot of steps if you ask me.  What I have done is apply the castor oil directly to the area in need, cover with a dry wash cloth and presto! You now have a castor oil pack on.  Depending on your geographic location and/or temperature, you will want to apply heat to enhance the effect.

Here is where the Light Shines In! Rather than using heat, why not use LED pads, which will create a thermal like affect in the body, but enhance the effectiveness of the castor oil ?  The theory is that by using LED's over the liver, it will promote the liver to function better and thereby receive greater benefits from the oil.  Using LED's over a layer of castor oil will drives the ricinoleic acid (the chemical within the castor bean which has been proven to increase lymphocyte production and the level of activity of T-cell lymphocytes) into the tissue more effectively than just heat alone.

According to Wes Burwell, international Light Educator with In Light Wellness, "Heat from a water bottle is in the far infrared spectrum.  This will allow for greater absorption and an increase in metabolism, but with the lights we would be activating it with near infrared which will increase the mitochondrial function as well as the absorption due to simple heating of the tissues as well.  The red and blue lights will also increase the uptake and usage in the soft tissue and the skin and allow for faster and greater absorption and transfer through the tissues.  The blue light will also help to activate the P450 enzyme groups in the liver as well which will help support detoxification.  Lights will amplify its already beneficial effects."

If you would like to try this combination, find a Light practitioner near you.  I can help you if no one jumps out.  Email me at: youarelight10@gmail.com or visit www.lifesourceacupuncture.com or  www.ilwsystems.com
